Well, my poor Ginny is dead for good. She has a crack on an important part of her machinery, and there's NO way I can afford it since I have no job. It's not worth putting that much money into a car when you can get another used one for the same price. *Sigh* But the silver lining is that I'll have a little spending money at Disneyland for my birthday. :-)

Originally published on 05/09/2018 I have been slacking in my blogging duties... I do apologize! I will say however it is because of my job as a special needs preschool teacher. The end of the year is always super busy for me with multiple evaluations to be done, IEPs to write, etc. June 1st is in my sights though, so I can spend some time catching up on all the blogs I need to write about! :) I also have been getting myself ready for a career change. WHAT?! Yes, that's right. I'm no longer going to be a special needs preschool teacher after June 1st. I am going to work for VIPKID. Ever heard of them? I'm really excited to start this new Journey because I can stay home with my family, as well as travel! Wood Badge - Part 4

Originally published on 02/13/2018 On Day 3 of my Wood Badge Experience, the Bobwhite Patrol was in charge of the flag ceremony. This was a neat experience since I've never been involved in a flag ceremony before. The historical flag that we had to showcase was The Star Spangled Banner, which included 15 stars and 15 stripes. To learn more about this flag, please follow  this link . After all three flags were on their respective poles, we sang our country's National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner". One of the things we had to do today was set up a tent. They made it into a competition, and we were not the first ones done, but members of other Patrols came and helped everyone out as the finished their own tents. The is the basic Boy Scouts of America tent, from what I understand. It is also identical to what I slept in for the week. I am grateful that on day 2 I asked for a cot to sleep on, because the ground was just littered with tree roots... Not the most...

An Unexpected Journey

Originally published 05/19/2019 As you know by now, I've been looking for another teaching position for this Fall. This past year has been rather tough on me (and in all honesty, hard on Larry, too!). Our finances have been at rock bottom. Our tempers have been rather short at times. Our supply of food runs thin sometimes, too. With a lot of help from our Church and family, we've made it through some very rocky spots this year! Green River, Wyoming As you also know, I've been going all over creation for interviews for these jobs. We've been to Utah multiple times, and even had a trip to Wyoming recently... that was a crazy trip back in 60mph wind and torrential rains! On the way out of that particular interview, I knew that I wouldn't get that job. I didn't feel a connection to the people in the room.
