Where Does the Time Go??

My wonderful readers!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything and for that I am truly sorry. Life tends to get in the way when we least expect it to, don’t you agree?

As you may recall, my teaching job ended as of June 1st of this year. It’s been a wild and crazy summer and things don’t show any signs of slowing down for the fall. We went to Disneyland (you can read up on that trip here), Larry and I were on staff at Wood Badge, did Webelos Wow with one Webelos Scout, went to our nephew’s missionary homecoming, started a new job (more on that later in this post), and my most recent journey was being inducted into the Boy Scout Honor Society, Order of the Arrow. That was quite a neat opportunity that I will share about later.

As for my new job, I am now selling mortgage protection insurance. If someone would have told me two months ago that I’d be selling insurance I’d probably have laughed at them. However, I rather enjoy it! I get to help families have peace of mind. I also get to go to North Carolina next month to participate in a leadership summit and Make-A-Wish Foundation Fundraising event.

Last week, I was running around for my job. This means I also utilize Google Maps on my phone so I can find people. I enter addresses and knock on the doors of people I can’t otherwise get on the phone. Well, my phone’s battery was running dangerously low and I still had multiple doors to knock on. Then I remembered I had gotten this little myCharge in the mail in return for my honest review. Time to put that baby to the test!

Wow! My phone, an iPhone 8, takes around 1-2 hours to fully charge on average. I put my phone on this mini charging device and within five minutes I had gone from 7% charged to 43% charged! I couldn’t believe it! I used it four times before having to recharge the device. You plug it directly into the wall, then pop it into your bag when it’s done. It even charged Larry’s super slow Android phone in about an hour! It normally takes about 4-5 hours for his phone to get fully charged! Very highly recommend this amazing little product! You can buy yours here. (I do not get any monetary compensation if you buy this product, I received one for free in return for my honest review.)

I'm excited to be able to go to North Carolina next month and will definitely post about it! Have a great day!
